    pretty, but misleading description

    At the time I ordered this set (late december 2023) the description said the dice were "handpainted". This is not true, as a close inspection shows the flowers, branches, and numbers are a printed decal. Also, the decal is mis-aligned in several places. The design itself might be handpainted, but the dice are not. The description has since been updated, but please be aware that nothing on these dice (including the numbers) has been painted by hand.

    My rating is only so low because I bought these dice with a Christmas giftcard from a friend I play dnd with, so I felt guilty/angry on top of my disappointment for spending her money on something I THOUGHT at the time was handmade.
    The dice themselves are beautiful and feel very soft, and look amazing in my collection. You can't tell the design is a decal unless you look closely, so if I hadn't been hoodwinked at purchase, I might have given these five stars!

    Hi Anne-Marie - firstly, we are very sorry any confusion. The original sets we produced were in fact painted by hand, but we did find an alternative method of applying the same finish (still by hand, but not painted), yet failed to update the product description to account for the change in production method. We have ensured the description is updated correctly now and we hope that you enjoy the set, even if it wasn't hand-painted!
